Job Description

Kingsway Locums is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to support a high-performing GP practice in Gillingham.

This is a structured environment with a strong MDT, clear clinical supervision routes, and consistent admin processes to keep workflow efficient. You will have access to agreed clinical pathways, coordinated triage, and a team culture that supports safe decision making, learning, and timely escalation when needed.

Up to 4 days a week with flexibility around session pattern and start date.

Role Snapshot
• ACP clinics with autonomy, strong governance, and well-defined support pathways.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and manage undifferentiated presentations across primary care.
• Provide same-day and routine appointments including follow-up and safety netting.
• Prescribe and manage medicines in line with scope and local protocols.
• Request and interpret investigations, acting on results appropriately.
• Document consultations clearly with accurate coding and appropriate task handling.
• Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider MDT to maintain safe patient flow.

Requirements
• Relevant professional registration and ACP qualification or equivalent experience.
• Independent Prescriber status and confidence managing complex presentations.
• Recent UK primary care experience with safe autonomous decision making.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and escalation routes.
• Full compliance readiness including DBS and mandatory training.

Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible scheduling.
• Mix of on-the-day and pre-booked clinics depending on service need.
• Potential for ongoing blocks to support continuity within the team.
