Job Description

Kingsway Locums are looking for Practice Nurses in Kilmun.

This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across various primary care services, providing options for nurses experienced in treatment room duties, chronic disease management and preventative health clinics.

You will be supported by an experienced nursing team and structured day-to-day processes, with clear appointment templates and reliable admin support to keep clinics running smoothly.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility to choose sessions that suit you.

Role centred on high-quality treatment room and long term condition nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver treatment room duties including wound care, dressings and ear care.
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations in line with PGDs and protocols.
• Undertake chronic disease reviews such as asthma, COPD and diabetes support.
• Carry out cervical cytology where trained and competent.
• Provide health promotion advice and support preventative screening activity.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to infection control standards.

Requirements
• NMC registration with recent UK primary care experience.
• Competence in treatment room skills and vaccination delivery.
• Chronic disease management experience and relevant qualifications where applicable.
• Cervical cytology qualification is desirable for applicable sessions.
• Up-to-date mandatory training including safeguarding and immunisation updates.
• DBS and occupational health clearance as required.

Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week available with flexible session allocation.
• Regular weekly bookings or ad hoc cover can be arranged.
• Session lengths and clinic focus can be agreed based on your skill set.
• Start dates are flexible subject to compliance completion.
