Job Description

Kingsway Locums are looking for General Practitioners in Port Isaac.

This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across various primary care services, providing options for clinicians experienced in routine clinics, same day demand and long term condition management with high clinical standards.

The practice is well organised with robust triage, experienced nursing support and efficient admin processes, helping you maintain clinical autonomy while keeping workload proportionate and sustainable.

Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility on which days you cover.

Role designed for GPs who want dependable sessions and a supportive team around them.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, effective patient consultations for acute and routine presentations.
• Manage long term conditions with appropriate follow-up and care planning.
• Review results, action tasks and provide clear safety-netting advice.
• Refer to community and secondary care services in line with local pathways.
• Maintain accurate records and coding on the clinical system.
• Work collaboratively with the wider MDT to support continuity of care.

Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• On the GP Register with UK primary care experience.
• Current UK performers list status.
• Evidence of up-to-date CPD and appraisal readiness.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and clinical governance obligations.
• Right to work in the UK and completion of compliance checks.

Working Pattern
• Flexible sessional bookings arranged in advance.
• Up to 2 days per week available with options for regular weekly sessions.
• Clinics may be face-to-face, telephone or blended depending on need.
• Additional sessions may be offered during peak demand if you wish.
