Job Description
Kingsway Locums is seeking a General Practitioner to provide flexible clinical cover for a GP practice in Littlehampton.
The surgery has a stable multidisciplinary team, sensible appointment templates, and effective admin workflows that protect clinical time. You will be supported by experienced reception and secretarial staff, with clear pathways for results handling, document processing, and onward referrals, alongside approachable clinical leadership.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility on days and session lengths.
Role Snapshot
• Sessional GP work with efficient systems, supportive governance, and manageable workflow.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver routine and urgent GP consultations with safe clinical decision making.
• Manage long-term conditions within a structured primary care framework.
• Complete referrals, fit notes, and care planning in line with practice processes.
• Review and action clinical results, documents, and tasks within agreed timescales.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, pharmacy, and PCN services to optimise patient care.
• Maintain high-quality clinical records and appropriate clinical coding.
Requirements
• GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register.
• Recent UK primary care experience with confident independent practice.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, clinical governance, and evidence-based guidelines.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
• Up-to-date compliance including DBS, immunisations, and mandatory training.
Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible session allocation.
• Mix of routine clinics and on-the-day work depending on preference and rota needs.
• Ongoing blocks available for continuity, or short-term cover if preferred.
